Current Fehmarn Belt status

The casting of the first concrete elements that will eventually be lowered on the seabed and form the entire tunnel got underway in July. The work takes place at what is now the world’s largest concrete element production site. The first tunnel element is expected to be immersed in the Fehmarnbelt in 2024 in the special tunnel trench, which is currently being dredged.
