2024 is set to become a year of change at Copenhagen’s famous community. The coming weekend inhabitants at Christiania have announced they will ‘dig up’ Pusher Street in a move to prepare for a final closure of the organized, illegal drug trade at the location. This comes amid many other initiatives at Christiania, where a new housing association has been approved to move forward the plans for 15.000 m2 of new public housing in the area.
Speakers:
Hulda Mader, spokesperson, the press group at Christiania
Lawyer Knud Foldschack, Fonden Fristaden Christiania
