Press Briefing - Christiania at a watershed

The International Press Centre (IPC) in Denmark hosts the press briefing 'Christiania – Copenhagen’s famous community at a watershed' on Thursday 4 April 2024.

2024 is set to become a year of change at Copenhagen’s famous community. The coming weekend inhabitants at Christiania have announced they will ‘dig up’ Pusher Street in a move to prepare for a final closure of the organized, illegal drug trade at the location. This comes amid many other initiatives at Christiania, where a new housing association has been approved to move forward the plans for 15.000 m2 of new public housing in the area.

Hulda Mader, spokesperson, the press group at Christiania
